Charen Fegard

Charen Fegard, Bachelors in Biology, is the Executive Director and Program Manager at IGS. Since 2006, Charen has worked in over 100 VT schools providing training and technical assistance to improve infection control and environmental health. Her professional introduction to chemical safety was in the Haz-mat/Environmental Health in the Civil Service on USMC Camp Butler in Okinawa in the mid-'90s. She served in the VT Legislature in the 2019-20 session and has worked as an environmental consultant/employee over the years with foci spanning youth programming, forest ecology, waste diversion, and school technical assistance in Indoor Air Quality. Charen grew up an Air Force brat and lived in many states and countries. She has also owned and operated a registered home child care as well as landscaping and cleaning businesses.
